Rollits LLP has announced the promotion of two promising trainee solicitors, each of whom took distinct routes into the legal profession.
Millie Bird, who initially joined Rollits in 2021 as a paralegal in the property team at the firm’s York office, has now been promoted to the dispute resolution department. She began her training contract in March 2023 after progressing through the firm’s ranks.
Molly Bloom first became acquainted with Rollits through her summer work experience programme in 2019. She commenced her training contract in 2022 and has now earned a place in the firm’s employment law team.
Both Millie and Molly have impressive academic backgrounds. Millie, a former student of George Pindar School and Scarborough Sixth Form College, studied at the University of Law in Leeds, where she graduated with first class honours in 2019. She later completed the legal practice course (LPC) with distinction in 2020. Molly, a Longcroft School alumnus, attended the University of Hull, where she earned a first-class honours degree in law in 2021. She then completed an MSc in business management with distinction before undertaking her LPC at the University of Law in Leeds.
Ralph Gilbert, managing partner at Rollits, praised the two solicitors, stating, “As a firm, we’re committed to encouraging and facilitating various avenues into the legal profession. It’s incredibly satisfying to see people take these opportunities.
“Millie came through the paralegal route, and Molly was introduced to the profession through our summer work experience scheme.
“I’m delighted to see both of them progress, and we look forward to helping them achieve success in their chosen profession.”
