Leeds-based firm continues to nurture young legal talent
Leeds law firm Clarion has welcomed six newly qualified solicitors into its fold.
The latest cohort includes Charlotte Hudson, who joins the commercial property team, and Emily Prince, who has transitioned into property litigation. Jacob Crooke strengthens the firm’s contentious private client practice, while Meg Gartland joins the corporate team. Olivia Storey has qualified into banking, and Sam Atkinson into intellectual property.
Clarion’s history of working with trainees
Recognised by The Sunday Times as the best place for young professionals to work in the UK, the firm is continuing its tradition of retaining and developing some of the region’s most promising legal minds.
Clarion’s trainee programme is known for its strong retention rate, reflecting the firm’s commitment to cultivating more than just technical legal skills. Trainees gain exposure to the firm’s broader business development and self-growth activities, equipping them with the tools needed for a successful legal career.
Clarion also supports young people with a variety of other routes to entering the legal profession through an apprenticeship programme, paralegal development and via external and internal mentoring and coaching initiatives. The single-site Leeds-based law firm supports a range of corporate and private clients both nationally and internationally and now employs more than 300 staff.
Commenting on the retention of the newly qualified solicitors, Helen Saunders, Clarion’s people director, said, “We’re excited to retain these six talented individuals as newly qualified solicitors.
“This year’s cohort has shown enthusiasm, skill and entrepreneurship, all the key assets we look for in a Clarion team member.
“Developing young talent is not only an integral part of our growth strategy, but testament to the abundance of great legal talent across the region. We are dedicated to helping these individuals develop their skills and realise their ambitions. I look forward to seeing them continue to thrive at Clarion.”
