Harrowells Solicitors appoints two new directors

Harrowells Solicitors has announced the promotion of Matthew Hayward and Matt Rowley to the role of directors.

Matthew Hayward, head of commercial property, has been with Harrowells, which is based in North and East Yorkshire, since 2014. With a wealth of expertise in acquisitions, disposals, and property development, Matthew has played a pivotal role in advising both landlords and tenants on complex leasehold issues.

Matt Rowley, head of commercial, has a long-standing history with Harrowells, having joined as a trainee solicitor 12 years ago. Over the years, he has built a reputation for advising national and international clients on corporate matters, including mergers, acquisitions, and disposals. His work also extends to providing legal guidance on partnership agreements, commercial contracts, and franchise arrangements.

The newly appointed directors will work closely with managing director Robert Onyett to shape the firm’s future strategic direction.

Onyett expressed his confidence in their abilities, stating, “Harrowells has a strong tradition of offering excellent career progression from within the business. We’re delighted to be able to recognise Matt and Matthew’s hard work with these appointments.

“Their achievement is well deserved and will bring great benefits to the business over the coming years.”
