Clarion has bolstered its team with ten new members in the second quarter of 2024. This significant expansion includes senior legal professionals and support staff across various departments.
Strengthening family law
Rachel Spencer Robb has joined Clarion as a partner, taking the helm of the family law team. With over 25 years of experience in family and matrimonial law, Rachel brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the firm. Her background in collaborative law and consistent recognition in top legal directories, including Legal 500 and Chambers and Partners, highlight her expertise.
Rachel’s appointment is expected to further solidify Clarion’s reputation in family law. The team has already earned a Tier 1 ranking in the Legal 500, and her addition will undoubtedly enhance their capabilities. Rachel commented on her new role, stating, “I am thrilled to join Clarion and lead the family law team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dedicated group of professionals and support families across Yorkshire and the UK.”
Enhancing debt recovery
Dan Elsworth joins as a senior associate in the debt recovery team. Dan specialises in commercial recoveries and brings 15 years of experience to the firm. His expertise spans pre-legal collections, county court proceedings, enforcement, and both personal and corporate insolvency.
Dan expressed his enthusiasm about joining Clarion: “I look forward to contributing to Clarion’s already impressive debt recovery team. The firm’s commitment to excellence and client service aligns perfectly with my professional values.”
New paralegal appointments
Clarion has also expanded its banking and private wealth teams with three new paralegals. Christopher Leadley and Abiel Ghebru join the banking team, while Courtney Dixon strengthens the private wealth team.
Operational excellence
In addition to legal professionals, Clarion has welcomed four new members to its central operational teams. Anastasiya Stelmakh-Merrick joins the front of house, Maisy Black and Lawrence Morgan in account management, and Karen King in risk and regulatory. These roles are critical to maintaining the firm’s operational efficiency and supporting its strategic growth.
Roger Hutton on strategic growth
Roger Hutton, joint managing partner at Clarion, shared his thoughts on the new appointments: “We’re excited to welcome a number of talented individuals to the business, and to continue the growth of our team, having already welcomed 12 new team members in the first quarter of the year. These appointments are not only an integral part of our national growth strategy but testament to the abundance of great legal talent across the region.”
He continued, “We are dedicated to creating an entrepreneurial environment, where our latest recruits play a key role in delivering plans, forging client relationships and developing and nurturing their skills. I look forward to seeing them thrive at Clarion.”
