The definitive guide to entering the Yorkshire legal sector’s biggest celebration
Entering awards can be complicated. But not ours. We have decades of experience under our belts running the Yorkshire Legal Awards and we know how to provide a streamlined and simplified process.
That’s why the entire Yorkshire Legal Awards entry process fits into our handy submission guide. It walks you through it, step by step, and answers the most frequently asked questions.
Plus, Sammy Kinlough, our very own specialist, is on hand to answer any questions via email or over the phone (his contact details are below!). He’ll be your point of contact throughout.
With this in mind, here are the latest FAQs about the entry process. The same list is available in the guide and will be updated there regularly.
- The word count is 250 to 1,000 words per entry for written submissions.
- Written submissions should be put together in the style of the Q&A criteria, ie, respond to each individual question as if you’re being interviewed.
- Best practice is to compile your submission responses in a Word doc and then paste them into the relevant fields in the online form—each question has its own response field, revealed when you click on your chosen category.
- No images or hyperlinks are allowed—these won’t appear or work in the online form. And don’t use the attachment buttons for PDFs and slideshows, those are for your logos and photos!
- Answer all of the criteria questions where possible, but feel free to apply your word count where you feel strongest.
- Video submissions should also follow the Q&A criteria.
- When submitting a video, upload it to a third-party platform such as YouTube or your own website and supply a link (ensure that the video is unlisted, private or password protected before submitting).
