Yorkshire law firm commits to future talent with new generation of trainees
Leading Yorkshire-based law firm, Ramsdens Solicitors, is welcoming a new wave of talent as it continues to bring expert legal advice and support across the region.
It comes as Ramsdens proudly announces that four of its trainees have successfully completed their training contracts and been offered full time employment at the firm, highlighting its commitment to developing the next generation of talent.
Katie Bonnard and Niamh Docherty will be taking up positions in the Family department and Alex Tattersall and Courtney Moore will be working within Dispute Resolution.
Lindsey Frith, Joint CEO at Ramsdens, said, “We are incredibly proud of our trainee programme and feel that each of these newly qualified solicitors will bring a positive and valuable contribution to the firm. So many of our partners started their legal careers here at Ramsdens so I look forward to seeing where these talented young solicitors progress to.”
Following in their footsteps are nine new trainees, who commence their training contracts in September. Four trainees will be taking the traditional route over two years and the remaining five will follow the slightly longer graduate apprenticeship route.
Ramsdens currently offers two routes to qualification, both a graduate apprenticeship scheme and a traditional training contract, during which all trainees get hands-on experience in a real-life setting. The graduate apprenticeship scheme combines both on and off-the-job learning, taking approximately 30 months to complete.
Natalie Lang, Partner and Training Principal at Ramsdens Solicitors, said: “At Ramsdens, we truly believe our team to be our greatest asset and every year we look forward to welcoming a bright new group of talent to Ramsdens. We know how important investing in our team is and we’re always looking to recruit new talent that we can nurture and develop. Our training programmes are key to our commitment to bringing the very best legal advice and support that we can across all our locations in Yorkshire, and we are committed to helping trainees turn their passion into long-lasting careers.”
Niamh Docherty, newly qualified solicitor at Ramsdens Solicitors, said: “Although I am still early on in my career, the knowledge and experience I have gained so far at Ramsdens has been invaluable. I’m really looking forward to joining the Family Law team as a full-time solicitor and to continue learning from the very best in Yorkshire as I develop both personally and professionally.”
