Wake Smith Solicitors appoints Tom Goff as new head of corporate
Wake Smith Solicitors has welcomed Tom Goff, an experienced corporate M&A and venture capital specialist, as its new head of corporate.
Sheffield-born Tom brings a wealth of experience in advising founders, entrepreneurs, investors, and corporations on a full range of corporate transactions, from initial venture investments to mergers, acquisitions, and strategic exits.
He joins Wake Smith after a successful career in London, where he worked at international law firms and served as a senior investment manager at the British Business Bank, focusing on high-tech investments in the aerospace and defence sectors.

Tom will lead Wake Smith’s corporate and commercial team, which includes Rebecca Robinson, director and head of governance, risk and compliance; associate Tom Haywood; solicitor Joe Creasor; and trainee solicitor Charlotte Wallage, with support from corporate PA Debbie Huckerby and specialists across employment, commercial property, and litigation.
