Switalskis has introduced five new trainee solicitors, expanding its new talent cohort to a total of 14. Cyman Kaur, Hannah Nagle, Ben Harding, Sarah Loxley, and Charlotte Henshall have embarked on their journey to becoming qualified solicitors, with Charlotte Henshall notably transitioning from her role as a paralegal within Switalskis’ child abuse litigation team
This fresh crop of recruits will participate in a rigorous two-year career development programme. They will gain vital experience across Switalskis’ network of 12 locations throughout Yorkshire and London, resulting in a comprehensive understanding of various legal domains.
Hannah Nagle and Sarah Loxley will commence their legal careers in Switalskis’ clinical negligence department, an area known for handling highly complex and sensitive cases. Cyman Kaur joins the commercial property team, while Charlotte Henshall and Ben Harding will initiate their legal journeys in the personal injury department.
Switalskis is also set to introduce its bespoke graduate solicitor apprenticeship programme, scheduled to begin in September 2024. This initiative spans 32 months, offering guidance and support to graduates as they work toward their solicitor qualification.
Amy Clowrey, a director and solicitor in Switalskis’ child abuse litigation department, and Switalskis’ dedicated training principal, stated, “It’s a privilege to welcome our new trainees. They are an impressive cohort and I am in no doubt that our bespoke qualifying solicitors programme will provide a strong foundation on which they’ll build a successful legal career with Switalskis.”
Tim Halstead, Switalskis’ Chief Operating Officer, emphasised the firm’s commitment to its people. He stated, “We’re a people business so recruiting and retaining great people is a top priority. So too is developing our talent from the early stages of their career right through to director level. Our robust career development programme gives our trainees, associates, senior associates and directors a clear vision of how they can achieve the next step in their legal careers. They’ve already impressed us during the recruitment process and I look forward to watching them develop their careers further with us.”
