Switalskis relocates Leeds office to West Village innovation cluster

Switalskis Solicitors has relocated its legal teams from St James House to the cutting-edge West Village development on Wellington Street.

After 15 years in its former Leeds location, the firm’s new 3,326 sq ft office in Bruntwood SciTech’s West Village marks a fresh chapter.

The move to the new space is intended to foster growth, improve working practices, and enhance the wellbeing of its team. Previously operating on two separate floors, the Switalskis’ Leeds-based employees are now all in one location.

The West Village office is a state-of-the-art environment with a focus on flexibility, sustainability, and creating a space that enhances both employee interaction and productivity.

Julie Guest, head of people at Switalskis, commented on the positive impact the new workspace is already having on the team: “One of our core goals is to be a great place to work, and creating the right office environment is key to achieving that.

“The Leeds office is the first step in a wider review of all our locations and we’re excited to see the positive impact it’s already having.

“A great workplace is more than having a decent desk and chair to work at. This new space encourages interaction and movement, with break out areas and a coffee bar, yoga classes, and a bike store.

“The feedback from our Leeds team has been hugely positive so far, which we’re delighted with.”

Switalskis has a strong presence across Yorkshire and London, and this relocation is seen as a key element in its growth strategy. The firm, which was named Large Law Firm of the Year at the Yorkshire Legal Awards in 2023, continues to go from strength to strength. It has also gained national recognition as one of The Sunday Times’ Best Places to Work, further cementing its reputation as a top employer in the region.
