Harrogate-based legal firm, McCormicks Solicitors, has announced the addition of two new members to its Crime and Fraud team. These appointments come in response to the increasing demand for their services.
Associate Solicitor Shah Ahmed and Junior Criminal Law Executive Eve Million have been appointed to reinforce the team’s capabilities, reflecting the firm’s commitment to addressing the evolving landscape of criminal law. This move follows recent promotions within the team, demonstrating McCormicks’ dedication to providing high-quality legal support.
Shah Ahmed brings a wealth of experience to the team, having previously specialized in Crown Court cases during his tenure at a Leeds practice. His expertise includes the meticulous preparation of serious cases and collaboration with prominent barristers, some of whom have risen to become Judges and King’s Counsel. With his extensive background, which includes full accreditation as a police station representative, Ahmed has been actively involved in handling a wide range of cases, from minor traffic offenses to more severe charges like murder.
Joining the team as a Junior Criminal Law Executive, Eve Million plays a vital role in various aspects of criminal work and client care. Her impressive academic achievements include earning a first-class honours degree in Law with Criminology from Leeds Law School, where she was also recognized with prestigious awards for her outstanding performance as the top graduate on her course.
Eve Million’s dedication to professional growth is evident, as she embarks on the path to becoming a police station representative.
Peter Minnikin, Partner and Head of the Crime and Fraud team, expressed his confidence in the new additions, stating, “I believe there are few practices in the North Yorkshire region which can offer the breadth and depth of experience in crime, fraud and regulatory matters that our team can bring. I am delighted to welcome both Shah and Eve who will be invaluable in what is a very busy area for us.”
McCormicks is the only practice in Harrogate to be ranked for General Crime and Fraud in the latest edition of the leading guide to the legal profession, the UK Legal 500.
