Katie Miller has taken a significant step in her legal career as she joins AWB Charlesworth Solicitors as their newest trainee, based in the commercial property department.
Katie began her pursuit of a legal career in 2005 when she began her university studies. She also volunteered at Kirklees Law Centre, gaining valuable practical experience, and worked as a legal secretary.
Showcasing her dedication, Katie funded her Legal Practice Course to further her legal education, then progressing from a legal assistant to paralegal, further bolstering her education with practical experience.
Katie previously worked for AWB Charlesworth in the commercial property team and made her return in 2023 with her cohort of qualifications, to continue her journey to becoming a fully qualified solicitor.
Felicity Green, practice manager at AWB Charlesworth, expressed her excitement about Katie’s journey, saying, “We are always exploring ways to help our staff progress their careers, and having considered the full range of routes to qualification as a solicitor with Katie, we are delighted to see her commence her training contract this week and we wish her every success in this next stage of her career.”
James Dunn, head of commercial property, added, “We’re proud and pleased that Katie is on her way to becoming a solicitor. She has worked hard to achieve both the academic qualifications and the practical experience in a range of legal departments, and we know she will take the training contract in her stride.”
Her journey at AWB Charlesworth Solicitors underscores the firm’s commitment to nurturing talent and providing opportunities for professional growth. As Katie begins her training contract, the legal community eagerly anticipates her continued progress toward becoming a qualified solicitor.
