JWP Solicitors boosts private client team with new recruit

Specialist Yorkshire law firm JWP Solicitors has expanded its private client team.

Laura Fahy (pictured) joins Wakefield-headquartered JWP from Brearleys Solicitors to support the continued growth of the firm’s private client team. She specialises in advising clients on their wills, lasting powers of attorney, trusts, Court of Protection and administration of estates.

Gareth Long, one of the directors at JWP, said “Private client work has been a major growth area for us over recent years. We bought in Joanna Longfellow in early 2021 to head up the team, and since then we’ve gone from strength to strength.”

“Laura brings with her a wealth of experience and clearly prides herself in the relationships she’s able to build with clients. People are more aware than ever of the need to put measures in place for their future, and with our strengthened team we’re well placed to serve their needs.”

Over recent months, the private client team at JWP has implemented a number of initiatives to improve the accessibility of the firm’s services, such as free wills reviews and drop-in clinics.

Longfellow is also an accredited member of Solicitors for the Elderly and a Dementia Friends Champion.
