Yorkshire law firm, Ison Harrison, has opened its newest office in Selby, bringing the firm’s total network to 20 offices.
Continued growth and expansion
The new office, located on Brook Street, underscores the firm’s significant regional presence and its ongoing expansion strategy. This latest addition follows the opening of new offices in Wakefield, Doncaster, and Queensbury, all launched since the firm transitioned to a 100% employee-owned model in January 2022.
Jonathan Wearing, managing partner at Ison Harrison, expressed his enthusiasm for the firm’s growth: “This is our 20th office and our fourth since becoming employee-owned in just over two years. We’re delighted to have opened two new offices in the first half of this year and completed the recent acquisition of established Leeds firm, Cohen Cramer.”
He added, “This latest office sees us further strengthening our reputation in Yorkshire, providing an even wider range of legal expertise through our expanding network of offices.”
A strong and talented team in Selby
The new Selby office will be managed by Daniel Kenworthy, the assistant head of residential conveyancing at Ison Harrison, who also manages the firm’s successful Pontefract office. Daniel, who joined the firm in April 2019, specialises in residential conveyancing and is enthusiastic about the new branch.
“We’ve assembled a talented team at Selby and we’re all looking forward to establishing a strong presence in the area,” he said. “This new office launch is the next step in Ison Harrison’s continued expansion, enabling us to build solid connections in the local community, to provide a comprehensive legal service and repeat the success we’ve achieved across the entire Yorkshire region.”
Joining Daniel at the Selby office are Lucy Hough, an associate and wills and probate solicitor, Emma Clowes, a family solicitor, and Gemma Atkinson, a conveyancing legal executive. Lucy Hough has been with Ison Harrison since July 2021 and was promoted to associate solicitor in 2023. She has eight years of experience in wills and probate, having qualified as a solicitor in October 2020.
Emma Clowes, part of the firm’s family law division, has four years of experience and joined Ison Harrison after qualifying in September 2023. Meanwhile, Gemma Atkinson, a Selby resident with ten years in the legal sector, is due to qualify as a chartered legal executive later this year after completing a six-year apprenticeship. She joined the conveyancing division in April this year and brings extensive local property market insights to the team.
