AWB Charlesworth Solicitors has partnered with BPP University Law School to launch a solicitor apprenticeship scheme.
The Level 7, six-year programme, which will be led by AWB Charlesworth associate directors Chris Cooper and Sadia Ali, will provide apprentices with the knowledge and skills needed to become a qualified solicitor.
Emma Davies (pictured), who commences her apprenticeship in September, will be Skipton-, Bradford- and Keighley-based AWB Charlesworth’s first apprentice. She said: “The solicitor apprenticeship scheme appealed to me because it would allow me to gain hands on experience in the legal field whilst earning a wage. University did not offer me this pathway.”
Ali said: “AWB Charlesworth is a progressive, forward-thinking firm. As the firm continues to go from strength to strength, it is an exciting time for Emma to join and we are looking forward to Emma commencing her apprenticeship at the firm.”
Cooper added: “At AWB Charlesworth we are constantly looking at ways we can develop the firm as well as support the local communities in which our offices are based and partnering with BPP University Law School and launching the apprenticeship scheme was a natural step towards achieving these.”
“We are looking forward to the future of the firm and giving young people in the local community an alternative route into the legal profession.”
