Local law firm Walker Foster has appointed solicitor Edward Sanderson as its new head of family law.
Sanderson (pictured) qualified as a solicitor in 2013 and joined Walker Foster in January 2020 from Leeds firm Austin Kemp.
He specialises in divorce, separation, finances and children. In his previous role, Sanderson handled complex ancillary relief finance cases and international divorce.
He is based in the firm’s Skipton office but will see clients by appointment in any of their offices.
Director Keith Hardington said: “We are delighted to welcome Ed to the Walker Foster team. He brings with him a real sense of caring about his clients as well as the specialist knowledge of family law.”
Sanderson added: “I am excited to have joined Walker Foster and look forward to building upon the great work the family team has been doing. I am fortunate enough to be told that I look younger than my years (and long may that continue), but my youthful looks bely my knowledge and experience.”
“Every part of family law must be handled with the utmost care and consideration. I have handled hundreds of very complex and emotive cases with compassion and integrity to provide the best possible service and great results for my clients and look forward to continuing this with Walker Foster.”
Outside work, Ed’s interests are local history, tennis and politics. He is also an enthusiastic, if not yet fully accomplished, baker.
Walker Foster was founded in Skipton in May 1919 and is celebrating its centenary year. The firm operates from Skipton, Barnoldswick, Silsden and Ilkley and employs 60 people.
