Torque Law has recently relocated to larger premises at Northminster Business Park in York as part of its ongoing expansion.
Established in 2016 by Tiggy Clifford and Emma Whiting, who between them have more than 30 years of experience in employment law, York-based law firm Torque Law secured its position as an adviser to the wider Yorkshire business community.
Whiting is a former partner and practice head of the Leeds employment team at Addleshaw Goddard. As a specialist employment solicitor, she has experience in dealing with employment advice on complex matters for employers, as well as advising businesses on claims such as whistleblowing and discrimination. She is also a regular speaker at client seminars, training courses and in the local media.
Clifford also specialises in employment law, with experience in advising firms on employment disputes, disciplinaries, negotiated exits, restricted covenants and protection of confidential information. She has also worked with directors and executives on issues relating to their own employment circumstances, as well as terms for new employment.
Within only a few months of Torque Law’s launch, the firm achieved its predicted turnover and also increased it by 220% in the first year of trading.
Torque Law counts the likes of the British Horseracing Association, Ellis Patents and Belmont Green among its client base.
