Torque Law adds paralegal to growing employment practice

Torque Law has appointed Ellie Addinall as a paralegal to its growing team.

Addinall graduated from the University of Leeds in 2020 with a first-class LLB degree and since then has gained commercial experience working in industry.

She joins Torque Law at an exciting time, as the firm has experienced significant growth in the past 12 months, supporting its loyal client base to navigate their way through the employment challenges thrown up by the pandemic.

Now boasting a team of six fee earners, Torque Law is among the leading employment law practices in North Yorkshire with expertise in complex and sensitive employment issues affecting employers and senior executives.

Emma Whiting, co-founder of Torque Law and a University of Leeds alumni herself, said: “We were thrilled to be introduced to Ellie, as we’d been looking to appoint a paralegal for a while, and her skills and aptitude were exactly what we were looking for to support our growing team.”

“The fact that she was a graduate from the University of Leeds, which is where Tiggy and I first met, was the cherry on top of the cake!  She’s made a brilliant start and is already a valuable member of the team.”

Founded in 2016, Torque Law is an award-winning employment law firm based in York. The firm acts for several high-profile local clients, including York College, Yorwaste, Ellis Patents and Eight Fifty Good Group.

The firm was awarded Niche Law Firm of the Year at the prestigious Yorkshire Legal Awards in 2019, and is recognised by legal directories as one of the top employment practices in Yorkshire.
