Switalskis Solicitors has opened a further two offices in Sheffield and Doncaster, giving it the largest high street presence of any other law firm in Yorkshire.
Switalskis has 22 directors and employs around 250 staff. Its new premises – in Sheffield’s traditional legal quarter of Paradise Square, and the more modern setting of Lakeside in Doncaster – mean that the firm now has 13 offices.
Since 2012, the firm has rapidly grown its turnover from just over £7 million to £13 million. This has been achieved through targeted organic growth, coupled with a programme of strategic law firm and team acquisitions. Its most notable acquisition was that of hlw Keeble Hawson’s clinical negligence, brain & serious injury and Court of Protection (property & affairs) teams last year.
A mixed-practice law firm, Switalskis offers a broad range of legal services from conveyancing to wills & estates; to divorce and inquest law. The firm has carved out a number of niche areas of legal expertise for which it is known nationally, including child and adult abuse compensation claims, and mental health law.
Managing director, John Durkan said: “We’re delighted to be offering our blend of services to the South Yorkshire market. Directors and staff at both of our new offices have well-established local roots and this latest move has been a natural progression for us.”
