St Philips Chambers has officially announced the selection of Sara Lewis KC as its new Head of Chambers, succeeding Richard Atkins KC.
Sara Lewis KC brings her extensive expertise and a distinguished reputation in family law to the firm, which has offices in Leeds city centre. She was called to the Bar in 1996 and took Silk in 2021.
Prior to coming to the Bar, Sara was a neuropsychologist, undertaking both clinical and research work. She therefore has particular interest and unique expertise in matters involving complex medical evidence, mental health issues, problems associated with addiction and cognitive impairment.
Upon being confirmed in her new role, Sara Lewis KC expressed her sentiments:

Notably, St Philips Chambers has made its mark as a dedicated participant in the Women in Law Pledge. Sara’s appointment as the Head follows the significant appointment last year of Yolanda Pemberton as Chair of the Management Committee and Board of Directors.
