Ridley & Hall launches support service for women navigating divorce

Yorkshire based law firm Ridley & Hall has launched a new specialist service aimed at supporting women navigating divorce.

The service, named Empowering Women Through Divorce, combines specialist family law advice with practical financial education and wellbeing support to help women navigate separation with clarity, confidence and choice.

Emma Hopkins Jones, partner and head of family (Leeds) at Ridley & Hall, said: “Empowering Women Through Divorce has been designed and will be delivered by our all-female family law team. We’ve developed it in direct response to a consistent issue we see in practice, where many women feel overwhelmed at the point of relationship breakdown, not because they lack resilience, but because they lack clear, accessible information about their legal position, financial options and next steps.”

“It offers a structured programme of support, including educational resources and a series of workshops delivered with trusted legal, financial and wellbeing partners designed to help clients understand key issues such as financial disclosure, the family home, pensions and long‑term security, alongside practical wellbeing and resilience support.

Ms Hopkins Jones added: “However, this service is about more than simply offering legal advice. It’s about recognising that women are often impacted differently by separation – whether that’s through caring responsibilities, career breaks, financial imbalance or the emotional effects of relationship breakdown – and understanding that when women have access to clear information and supportive spaces, they are better able to shape their futures with confidence and choice.”

The service was recently launched at an event in Leeds and will be rolled out across Ridley & Hall’s offices, with upcoming events taking place at the firm’s Barnsley, Huddersfield and South Elmsall offices with sessions themed around legal clarity, financial confidence, and wellbeing.
