Huddersfield-based law firm Ridley and Hall as added Deborah Kaye to its private client team as an associate solicitor.
Kaye has spent the majority of her career working at Ramsdens Solicitors, having spent 14 years in the firm’s Holmfirth office. She joins Ridley and Hall from LCF Law in Bradford, where she spent the last four years.
She has practiced in all areas of private client work, including both pre- and post-death matters such as wills, powers of attorney, inheritance tax planning, advising the elderly, trusts and probate.
Emma Pearmaine, managing director at Ridley and Hall, commented: “Having established a name for ourselves as experts in private client work, including being shortlisted in 2018 for a national and international industry award with Society of Trusts and Estate Practitioners (STEP), we are undergoing a period of sustained growth, largely as a result of client recommendation.”
“With her solid track record in private client law, Deborah will further strengthen the Huddersfield team, enabling us to continue to provide high level technical expertise together with the high standards of client care for which we are renowned.”
Kaye said: “As soon as I met Emma and the private client team, I was in no doubt that Ridley and Hall was a place where I could see myself working—human and caring with a great staff ethos and a strong professional reputation.”
“The firm’s culture is a really good fit with my own values. It’s great to be working with the local community again back in Huddersfield, re-engaging with contacts as well as having the opportunity to meet and form new ones.”
With offices in Huddersfield, Leeds and Pontefract, Ridley and Hall has a 71-strong team. The firm recently won Law Firm of the Year: Small at the 20th Yorkshire Legal Awards.
