Parklane Plowden barristers appointed to North Eastern Circuit

Parklane Plowden Chambers barristers Sara Anning and Dominic Bayne have been appointed as judges (Recorder Family) on the North Eastern Circuit.

Their appointments take effect on 16 September.

Anning and Bayne have been assigned to sit at courts on the North Eastern Circuit and will be carrying out their roles on a part-time basis, remaining fully available to accept instructions.

Anning was called to the Bar in 1995 and specialises in children family law matters.

Bayne was called to the Bar in 1997 and works across a number of practice areas.

Parklane Plowden, a specialist civil, family and commercial chambers with locations in Leeds and Newcastle, recorded a 14% boost in revenue in the latest financial year.

The past year saw significant expansion at Parklane Plowden, with the arrival of 15 new barristers, who brought expertise across a range of specialist areas and at varying levels of seniority.

Parklane Plowden significantly bolstered its offering in the field of Chancery and commercial law following a team move from St Philips Chambers last summer.

In May, the barristers’ chambers was recognised at the Yorkshire Accountancy Awards for the work done by its in-house finance team. The team was established five years ago as part of a restructure to modernise how a barristers’ chambers operates.

The formation of Plowden Facilities in 2014 streamlined its business management processes, which has saved time, money and improved the way information is shared.
