Newtons Solicitors has added senior solicitor Helen Forster to its private client team.
The firm now has nine solicitors advising on wills, trusts and probate matters for clients across Yorkshire and the Northeast.
Forster is a senior wills and probate solicitor. She was previously at Winston Solicitors, and a well-known private client solicitor in the Harrogate area.
She will be based in the Newtons Solicitors Harrogate and Knaresborough offices and act for clients across the region.
Forster has a special interest in trusts and matters before the court of protection, and is regularly appointed to act as a professional trustee and deputy for families where relatives have mental capacity issues.
She also regularly provides seminars to other members of the profession on Court of Protection procedure and she is a member of STEP.
Chris Newton, managing director of Newtons Solicitors, says: “I’m obviously very pleased that Helen has decided to join Newtons. Her enthusiasm, energy and expertise will be a great addition to our busy team.”
Forster added: “I am delighted to become a part of the dynamic team at Newtons Solicitors. I look forward to bringing my experience in mental capacity and deputyship work to the firm, to further strengthen its offering in Yorkshire and the Northeast.”
