New online platform Yorkshire Legal Jobs launches to serve region’s legal community

In a move to boost the legal job market in Yorkshire, Yorkshire Legal Jobs has opened its doors. The platform, produced by the team behind Yorkshire Legal News and Yorkshire Legal Awards, aims to simplify job hunting and talent acquisition for legal professionals in the region.

The Yorkshire region is a hub for legal firms, second only to London. The region is home to over 5 million people, undoubtedly making it an attractive talent pool for top firms who have a presence in the area. According to research from LegalTech in Leeds, 58,900 people are currently employed in legal services across the north.

Yorkshire Legal Jobs is the first regional legal jobs board of its kind, aiming to streamline the process of finding legal jobs in Yorkshire. Currently, the majority of legal jobs must be listed on national platforms. The Yorkshire Legal Jobs platform provides an easy-to-use interface for law firms and legal professionals in the region to connect more efficiently.

A spokesperson for Yorkshire Legal News expressed the organisation’s enthusiasm for the launch, highlighting the platform’s unique regional focus. They stated, “We are excited to introduce Yorkshire Legal Jobs, providing a regional option that lets recruiters bypass the scattergun approach of national job boards. Our platform will also save applicants valuable time they currently spend trawling through unsuitable, distant job listings. It’s a targeted approach to finding top talent within Yorkshire’s legal community.”

“By concentrating on Yorkshire, we hope that the platform strengthens professional networks and promotes regional economic growth,” they added, “We’re proud to serve Yorkshire’s legal community with Yorkshire Legal News and the Yorkshire Legal Awards, and this is a much-wanted next step.”

Employers who are interested in sharing their vacancies can do so by registering on the Yorkshire Legal Jobs website. Annual memberships are currently available at £500 for the year (normally £950) and offer unlimited free job listings. This offer will end on 29 February 2024.

The launch of Yorkshire Legal Jobs marks a significant advancement for Yorkshire’s legal job market, offering a tailored solution to the industry’s recruitment needs. As the platform gains momentum, it is poised to become an essential resource for legal professionals and employers, driving the growth of Yorkshire’s legal sector.
