Mills & Reeves’ Leeds corporate team advises on deals worth over £500 million in 12 months

The corporate team at Mills & Reeve’s Leeds office has advised on deals worth more than half a billion pounds in the last 12 months.

The team was launched less that two years ago when partner Paul Johnson (pictured) joined from Irwin Mitchell. He was joined by principal associate Shubhu Patil from Walker Morris and associates Amanda Hughes and Jaspaul Dhesi from Gordons and Rollits respectively.

In the last 12 months, the team has advised on 24 deals with an aggregate value of more than £500 million, including advising Taiwanese company Coretronic Corporation, on its acquisition of Bradford-based electronic display equipment manufacturer Calibre UK and the admission to AIM of Aura Energy Limited, a uranium development company. It also advised on the sale of Orange County Limited to Flowtech Fluidpower, a technical fluid power products supplier.

The team is now looking at making further senior appointments to meet growing client demand.

“It is very rewarding to help our clients to realise their full potential, whether through merger and acquisition or raising capital, particularly in the technology and healthcare sectors where we have been able to build on the extensive expertise we have nationally,” said Johnson.
