Mills & Reeve’s Leeds office has won the Intellectual Property (IP) award at the prestigious Yorkshire Legal Awards for the second consecutive year.
The awards celebrate outstanding contributions from the Yorkshire legal community, including law firms, in-house teams, and individual practitioners. Winners are selected by a prestigious judging panel drawn from across the region’s legal profession.
Mills & Reeve secured the top spot in the hotly contested IP category, with judges praising the practical and innovative work that clearly distinguished the team from other entrants. The judging panel specifically commended the team’s development of priority matrix tools for clients and a free top tech programme, highlighting its creative thinking and commitment to delivering tangible value.
Alex Newman, partner at Mills & Reeve, said: “It’s brilliant to be recognised by the Yorkshire Legal Awards for the second year running. Being acknowledged by the judging panel for our ability to think outside the box while delivering meaningful results is particularly rewarding.
“We pride ourselves on supporting clients through complex cases in collaborative and commercially-minded ways, helping them maximise the value of their intellectual property. I’m incredibly proud of the entire IP team here in Leeds, as well as the wider team supporting us across the firm nationwide. We look forward to continuing to develop and grow our offering.”
