This is and has always been an event for the entire Yorkshire legal community
We’re thrilled to reveal the 2023 panel of judges for this year’s Yorkshire Legal Awards.
Fourteen judges have been confirmed so far and we plan to add one or two more ahead of the entry deadline on 30 June.
The majority of the judges this year are participating on behalf of local law societies in Yorkshire, with Bradford, Sheffield, Huddersfield, Dewsbury, Doncaster, Leeds, Hull, Harrogate and York represented.
This is and has always been an event for the entire Yorkshire legal community, so we’re delighted that so many of our great towns and cities are represented on the judging panel.
Natalie Cosgrove, president of the Yorkshire Union of Law Societies, as well as Samantha Patel, chair of Leeds Junior Lawyers Division, bring further local expertise and experience.
We’re also delighted to have local lad Nick Emmerson onboard in his capacity as vice president of the Law Society of England and Wales (and the next president!), along with Yorkshire-based Aneeka Muneer Sarwar from Lawyers in Local Government.
It’s also great to have Sally Penni from Women in the Law UK onboard as a judge and to welcome the 2022 Yorkshire Lawyer of the Year, David Greenwood. His participation as a judge broadens the experience and expertise of the panel while recognising the prestige and weight of our most important accolade.
You can read about all the 2023 judges here. The page will be updated regularly until the entry deadline.
