Specialist Yorkshire law firm, Medical Solicitors, is delighted to announce the appointment of grade A clinical negligence solicitor, Esther Gaudoin.
Esther will be based at the firm’s Sheffield office and will work closely with the team on a wide range of clinical negligence matters.
Since qualifying in 2013, Esther has specialised exclusively in clinical negligence law, acting for clients who have suffered life-changing injuries as a result of medical errors.
She brings extensive experience in catastrophic injury claims, particularly birth injury and spinal cases, and has developed a reputation for combining technical expertise with genuine compassion for her clients.
For her work, Esther has recently been recognised by Chambers and Partners as an ‘Associate to Watch’ for 2026.
Esther was initially drawn to clinical negligence work because of its profound human impact.
“It’s incredibly rewarding to help people turn their lives around after devastating injuries,” she said. “Securing compensation can fund essential care, home adaptations and therapy and, just as importantly, give clients back a sense of independence and the ability to enjoy life again.”
Among her career highlights, Esther achieved a settlement of more than £2.5 million in a complex spinal abscess case which involved cross border elements that she managed over several years – a case she proudly continued after two maternity leaves, demonstrating her dedication to her clients and her practice.
After many years working at large, city-based firms in London, Leeds and Sheffield, Esther was looking for a role that offered both a professional challenge and the flexibility to balance family life.
She says the move to Medical Solicitors offers the opportunity to continue delivering exceptional results in high-quality clinical negligence work while working in a friendly, community-focused environment.
“As a mother of two young children, Medical Solicitors’ supportive and people-focused culture really appealed to me. It’s a firm that values both excellence and empathy and
they focus on what’s best for the client, taking on cases that larger, more corporate firms wouldn’t necessarily handle.
“I am looking forward to working with both clients and colleagues on a variety of cases and making a difference in my local community here in Sheffield.”
Caroline Moore, managing director of Medical Solicitors, welcomed the appointment, commenting: “We’re thrilled to have Esther join our clinical negligence team. Her depth of experience and commitment to client care make her a fantastic addition. Her insight into catastrophic injury work will be invaluable as we continue to expand our specialist services.”
Medical Solicitors has a well-established reputation for providing expert legal advice in medical and clinical negligence cases, supporting clients across England and Wales.
With three offices in Yorkshire, the firm’s clinical negligence team continues to grow as demand for specialist representation in this area increases.
