Experienced lawyer Howard Wade has joined Sheffield’s MD Law as a consultant to advise on commercial property matters.
The firm, which acts for and advises insolvency professionals, businesses and individuals across the country, has recruited Wade (pictured, left) to support existing and new clients on commercial property issues and to grow its sector expertise.
The experienced legal and property professional, who founded his own residential property business, Cactus Living, has worked at Sheffield law firms for a number of years.
He led the disposal of Cactus Living to Linley and Simpson, where he was retained as a consultant.
Wade said: “My primary role will be to support the existing business at MD Law and help develop the commercial property offering. My legal experience, and also my track record in business, means I can help grow MD Law’s commercial property offering.”
MD Law partner Matthew Dixon (pictured, right), who set up the firm seven years ago, said: “This appointment represents a further expansion for the firm and demonstrates our commitment to the business community.
“Howard’s considerable commercial property experience, on both sides of the sector, will add to the land and property transaction expertise of James Burdekin, our commercial partner, who joined us last year. This means we now have a top-class senior legal team supporting this important sector.”
MD Law’s Zara Ahmed has also recently qualified after two years as a trainee solicitor and has started work in the firm’s commercial litigation team.
Abiraj Johal and Cristina Martinez recently started with the firm as a trainee solicitor and paralegal, respectively.
