The University of Law (ULaw) has appointed Matthew Tomlinson as dean of its Leeds campus.
Tomlinson (pictured) worked in the legal profession at DLA Piper, Addleshaw Goddard and Napthens, after qualifying from ULaw (then The College of Law) in Chester.
In 2013, Tomlinson returned to ULaw as a lecturer and served as the programme and student lead for GDL and LLB in Leeds.
Professor Andrea Nollent, vice chancellor and CEO at ULaw, said: “We are delighted to appoint Matthew to the role of dean at our Leeds campus.”
“As an alumnus of the university who has spent several years in the industry and later returned as a lecturer at ULaw, Matthew has the right experience and knowledge to further our commitment toward improving opportunities for students as well as enhancing our connections with business.”
Tomlinson said: “I am delighted to have been appointed as dean of The University of Law in Leeds. I look forward to working in partnership with Yorkshire’s legal and business communities in providing our expertise in legal and professional training.”
