Law firm Gordons retains trainee solicitors

All trainee solicitors qualifying in September this year at Gordons have accepted offers to continue furthering their careers with the law firm.

By that point, each of them will have spent at least two years training with Gordons working across a number of practice areas.

From September, they will enter their chosen specialisms and continue to be mentored and developed both professionally and personally by senior colleagues.

Abbie Little will join the firm’s employment team whilst Daniel Callaghan will enter Gordons’ corporate practice.

Jonathan Wu and Tosif Bashir will become part of the commercial property and commercial contracts teams respectively. Both initially joined Gordons as paralegals before commencing their training contracts with the firm in September 2023.

Gordons’ training principal and corporate partner, Amy Pierechod, commented:

“The market for attracting and retaining legal talent is a highly competitive one. Having all of our trainees commit their immediate future to Gordons speaks volumes about their belief in our distinct culture and the opportunities we can offer them. Abbie, Daniel, Jonathan and Tosif have already proven themselves to have the engaging natures and legal capabilities required to make them highly valued by clients and colleagues alike. From September, we will see them begin their careers as newly qualified solicitors which is something both they and the firm will be very proud of.”

Employing 170 people, Gordons has its head office in Leeds. The firm’s clients include retailers AO, Iceland Foods, Morrisons, Ocado Retail and Wren Kitchens as well as drinks company Molson Coors and parcel delivery business Evri.
