Melissa Portlock has joined the family team at JWP Solicitors in Wakefield.
Portlock (pictured) worked as a legal assistant and paralegal at a specialist family law firm in Bradford for three years before qualifying as a Chartered Legal Executive in June 2021.
Gareth Long, director and head of the family team at JWP, said “Melissa joins with a wealth of experience in relation to legal aid, injunctions and private law children cases. Legal aid is a vital resource which allows those without sufficient funds to access justice, and Melissa’s experience in this area will further strengthen our ability to manage such cases.”
JWP recently expanded its footprint with a brand-new office in Hemsworth, where recent recruit Tamara Dove-O’Hara represents the family team.
