JM Glendinning, the Leeds-based insurance broking, financial and health and safety services group, has launched a new professional risks division following the appointment of professional indemnity insurance specialist, Jake Fox.
Fox moves from Willis, bringing 15 years of professional indemnity insurance experience to the business. He will be in charge of delivering specialist broking and claims support to legal firms across the UK. He said that the insurance broker’s plan was to grow the division into a £10 million premium income business employing a team of specialists over the next five years.
“I’m excited to be joining JM Glendinning, whose ethos very closely matches my own,” he said.
“For me, it’s all about getting back to what legal practices and professional services firms really need: a tailored, personal service from a company that understands their insurance and risk transfer needs and is prepared to commit to a twelve month of the year relationship.”
Nick Houghton, JM Glendinning’s managing director said that the company placed great emphasis on hand picking “brilliant people” and building businesses around them.
“In the professional services sector, people buy people, which is why it’s so important to us to find the right people and empower them to drive the business forward,” he said.
“Jake is the perfect fit for our team and we are delighted that he has chosen to develop this division with us.”
