Ison Harrison has opened a new office in Otley, bringing its total number of premises in the region to 12.
The law firm’s expansion into Otley is the latest office to be opened in the region following Pudsey and Huddersfield last year. The office is the newest in Ison Harrison’s existing network of branches across Leeds and West Yorkshire and establishes a permanent presence in the town for the first time.
The office will be led by partner Nigel Cowley, a property law specialist with more than 25 years of experience in all aspects of residential conveyancing.
Cowley played an instrumental role in establishing and increasing the size of Ison Harrison’s commercial property division, as well as helping to set up and manage the firm’s Ilkley and Guiseley offices. He will also continue to lead the Guiseley branch.
Joining Cowley in the new office will be family law solicitor Sarah Laughey.
Laughey has more than a decade of experience as a family solicitor and for the past six years has been a Resolution-accredited specialist covering domestic violence and private children law work. She has also been running a popular free legal clinic at Otley Courthouse.
Amy Baxter, a trainee solicitor, will also be based in Otley. She will focus on residential conveyancing and family law.
On top of the conveyancing and family law services available, a wills and probate service will be provided in Otley by Rachael Pratt and Emma Garfitt.
