Irwin Mitchell advises Gravity on £2m Xscape Yorkshire E-Karting Track

Property lawyers at Irwin Mitchell have advised Gravity Active Entertainment on its agreement for a 15-year lease that will enable it to construct a £2 million e-karting experience at Xscape Yorkshire.

Gravity, a fast-growing leisure and entertainment company based in Yorkshire, is redeveloping Xscape Yorkshire, whose facilities also include a trampoline park, a sky coaster, and a climbing wall for both children and adults, to accommodate the required high-powered karts and multi-layered track.

The company also intends to do a full refurbishment of the trampoline park at Xscape Yorkshire this year, as well as offer karaoke and an immersive smart room for groups to interact.

James Knowles of Irwin Mitchell advised Gravity, with assistance from real estate solicitor Laura Jones.

Knowles, a property partner and head of the Northern transactional real estate team at Irwin Mitchell, said: “Gravity continues to expand and is taking the leisure and hospitality market by storm. There is a real demand for quality leisure and entertainment venues in the UK and Gravity is at the cutting edge of providing fun experiences that appeal to the whole family.”

“We are delighted to have advised Gravity on all its property matters to date and look forward to seeing Xscape Yorkshire in its new creation.”
