Litigation and commercial law firm rradar has appointed senior solicitor David Sinclair to its lead its information law team.
Sinclair will advise rradar’s private, public and charity sector clients on all aspects of data protection, electronic communications and marketing, freedom of information and environmental information law.
He will focus in particular on advising data controllers and processors on compliance requirements arising from the General Data Protection Regulation and Data Protection Act 2018, as well as the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations and associated legislation.
Sinclair joins rradar from The Christie NHS Foundation Trust, a leading cancer treatment, research and teaching hospital in Manchester, where he served as in-house counsel.
Prior to joining The Christie, Sinclair worked at healthcare law firm Hempsons, which he joined on qualification as a solicitor in 2005.
Andrew Cameron, chief legal officer for rradar, said of Sinclair’s appointment: “We are excited by the appointment of David, who joins us as a highly respected and talented solicitor with a national reputation.”
“His impressive track record, and significant experience working with commercial and public sector clients and with the UK’s regulators, makes him the best candidate to advise and help our clients, further strengthening our Information Law capabilities.”
