hlw Keeble Hawson advises in surgical innovations acquisition

Leeds-based Surgical Innovations Group has been represented in its recent £9.4m acquisition of Elemental Healthcare by hlw Keeble Hawson.

The company, which designs and manufactures innovative medical technology in collaboration with international surgeons, was also represented by Hardy Transaction Management and James Cowper Kreston in the deal.

Other parties involved in the transaction included Yorkshire Bank, which was advised by Squire Patton Boggs, and WH Ireland, which was advised by Pinsent Curtis.

AIM-listed Surgical Innovations is raising £5.5 million through a placing to part fund the acquisition of Hungerford-based Elemental Healthcare – a specialist in keyhole surgery which supplies surgical devices to NHS and UK private hospitals.

Roger Dyson (pictured), head of the Keeble Hawson’s corporate team, said: “We were pleased to work with highly respected advisors to bring the purchase – which also gives Surgical Innovations Group a direct route to the UK market – to fruition.”
