One of York’s leading independent legal firms, Hethertons Solicitors, has announced the appointment of a new Senior Associate as it continues to strengthen and expand its services to people across the region.
Steven Whiting is the firm’s newest appointment and will work within the Wills and Probate department to support Hethertons’ growing client base.
With more than 30 years of experience in a wide range of Wills, Probate, Tax and Trusts matters, Steven provides expert guidance on estate administration, Lasting Powers of Attorney, applications for Grants of Probate and deeds of variation.
In particular, he has worked with Court of Protection applications in cases of mental capacity and offers tailored advice on Inheritance Tax, asset protection and care fees liability.
Although he is part of the Wills and Probate team within the firm, he is also able to call on his previous experience assisting with Conveyancing and Property legal matters, which furthers the insight he can provide to clients in relation to property sales from within their estate.
Prior to joining Hethertons, Steven has undertaken private client work for individuals, small business owners and farmers, showcasing his passion for supporting the local community in Yorkshire.
