Hat-trick of property panel reappointments for Gateley Legal

Bellway Homes, McCarthy Stone and Taylor Wimpey extend long-term partnerships with Gateley’s residential development team

Gateley Legal has secured a hat-trick of legal panel reappointments, reaffirming its long-standing relationships with Bellway Homes, McCarthy Stone, and Taylor Wimpey—three of the UK’s most prominent residential developers.

The appointments follow decades of collaboration. Gateley has advised Taylor Wimpey for over 30 years, and recently marked 20 years of partnership with Bellway Homes. These renewed appointments will see Gateley continue to support both developers across all regions through streamlined legal panels, offering a full spectrum of expertise including property, construction, disputes, commercial, regulatory and compliance matters.

Gateley has also been reappointed to the legal panel for McCarthy Stone, the UK’s leading retirement living developer, following five years of successful collaboration. The renewed relationship spans all of McCarthy Stone’s regions and will include legal advice across land acquisition, planning, plot sales, construction, litigation, and fire safety.

Gateley Legal is part of the wider Gateley Group, the UK’s first legal and professional services group to float on the London Stock Exchange. Its specialist residential and mixed-tenure development team is the largest in the country, operating from offices in Birmingham, Guildford, Leeds, London, Manchester, Newcastle, Nottingham and Reading.

In addition to core legal services, Gateley’s clients benefit from access to multi-disciplinary support via the Group’s consulting businesses, which bring expertise in areas such as utility diversions and connections, surveying, project management and capital allowances.

Callum Nuttall, Partner and National Head of Residential Development at Gateley Legal, commented, “We are delighted to be continuing our valued relationships with Bellway Homes, McCarthy Stone and Taylor Wimpey. These reappointments reflect the hard work and expertise of our people, the strength of our lateral hires, and our ability to offer a truly integrated service model that brings together legal and consultancy support under one roof. Our mission has always been to meet the evolving needs of clients and the wider market, and these long-standing relationships are a testament to the trust our clients place in us.”
