Commercial law firm Harper James Solicitors has appointed a new partner to help run the firm.
Ashley Mott will operate from the firm’s Sheffield headquarters to assist Toby Harper, the founder and CEO, and the wider management team in the running of the head office and Harper James more generally.
Mott is an experienced litigator who handles UK and international business disputes. He is also an accredited mediator and arbitrator.
Prior to taking on his new role at Harper James, Mott spent 28 years at DLA Piper—22 of them as a partner.
Founded in 2014, Harper James is today made up of more than 40 partners, solicitors, and support staff.
Commenting on Mott’s recent appointment, Harper said: “We are delighted to welcome Ashley to Harper James, and in doing so building the in-house experience and skills base for our clients.”
“This is an exciting time for the firm as we continue to grow and develop our client base and market share.”
Mott said: “I am excited to be joining such an innovative and forward-thinking law firm, which is uniquely and intentionally designed to be able to provide top quality legal advice and assistance to all businesses, large and small, at a sensible and affordable cost.”
