Bevan Brittan has strengthened its Leeds office with new recruits and multiple promotions.
Clinical risk specialist Susan Trigg has joined the firm as a senior associate, expanding Bevan Brittan’s national clinical risk offering to directly support clients in the north.
Trigg has joined the firm from the Medical and Dental Defence Union of Scotland and has extensive experience in acting for healthcare organisations and professionals on areas including clinical negligence claims, regulatory and disciplinary proceedings, and inquests.
Sarah Greenhalgh, senior associate in the firm’s housing practice, has transferred from Bevan Brittan’s Birmingham office to Leeds. Greenhalgh will bolster the housing team by supporting clients in the north and nationally.
The firm has also promoted Alex Dunne in the Leeds property team to senior associate. This rounds off Bevan Brittan’s end of financial year promotions that saw a total of 18 lawyers promoted nationally, including three to partner.
Michael Boyd, head of the Leeds office at Bevan Brittan, said: “I am delighted that we are continuing to successfully develop our Leeds office through these appointments. Susan’s arrival is a significant development for us because it will be the first time that we have had a medical law specialist based in Leeds.”
“Susan is an experienced clinical negligence and medical malpractice professional and will be able to support our wide range of healthcare clients, both in the NHS and the independent sectors, on clinical negligence and other matters, as well as supporting Local Authorities on judicial review proceedings and Court of Protection cases.”
Boyd continued: “Housing is an important and growing part of our business so I am delighted that Sarah Greenhalgh has joined us to enhance our team and coordinate activity in Leeds with the firm’s wider national work.”
“Finally, my congratulations to Alex Dunne on being promoted to senior associate. These are exciting times for the Leeds office having recently completed our office expansion and refurbishment, while the firm as a whole has had another successful year. We expect to continue to grow in Leeds with new hires in the coming months in line with increasing client demand and our strategy of broadening our offering in Yorkshire and the North.”
