Glenn Hayes has joined Hill Dickinson as an employment partner and head of its Leeds-based employment team.
Hayes was previously the national head of employment law at Irwin Mitchell, a post he held for 20 years. He now joins Hill Dickinson’s business services group, where he will advise on all aspects of employment law.
Hayes is recognised for his expertise in areas such as holiday pay and overtime, as well as discrimination and whistleblowing complaints. He has also previously advised and managed a number of large-scale settlement agreement projects.
At Hill Dickinson, he will act on all employment matters for both employers and employees on claims for breach of contract, unfair and constructive dismissal, equal pay, and unlawful deduction from wages claims.
Hayes expressed enthusiasm about this next step, stating; “Joining Hill Dickinson is an exciting next step for me. The firm has already made great strides growing its Leeds office as well as its employment offering, so I’m looking forward to the opportunity to work with the team to help further develop the services we can offer to support clients with navigating complex employment challenges.”
Craig Scott, CEO elect and head of business services group, commented on the hire. He said; “Glenn’s appointment to lead our Leeds employment team is a valuable addition to our rapidly growing Leeds office, and we’re excited to welcome a partner with his level of industry knowledge and experience. At Hill Dickinson, we’re proud to be attracting some of the most sought-after talent as we build our presence in Leeds, and the network that Glenn brings with him will significantly bolster and develop our expertise in employment law across the Yorkshire region.”
Kerstie Skeaping, national head of Employment, added that employment continues to be a point of focus for Hill Dickinson’s business service group. She stated; After welcoming a host of other partners to our Leeds office this year, including Lemi McAuley and his restructuring team and Alison Starr with expertise in corporate and public equities work, Glenn’s appointment to establish and lead our first employment team presence in Yorkshire will further broaden the skillset of our national employment practice.”
