Emsleys Solicitors makes two senior appointments

Emsleys Solicitors has hired a new director and a head of operations.

Peter Watson has joined Emsleys Solicitors as a director to support the firm’s future development, working closely with its management team and department heads.

He is a dual qualified solicitor, having previously practised in Australia, and has many years of experience managing a UK top 100 national law firm.

Watson said: “I have long admired Emsleys for its outstanding client care and I am looking forward to working with the team to grow and diversify the firm in the months ahead.”

Rachel Walton has been appointed as head of operations. She joins from an award-winning national law firm with a wealth of experience in business management and development, as well as expertise as a solicitor in conveyancing and property law.”

She said: “I feel so privileged to be joining a brilliant team who genuinely put clients at the heart of everything they do and to play my part in making sure that we exceed their expectations and are ready to meet the challenges of an ever changing landscape.”

The appointments follow a period of growth for Emsleys Solicitors, which invested in a new office in 2016, where the firm’s conveyancing department and senior management team are now located.

The appointments also build on the success of Emsleys Solicitors’s Review My Claim initiative, which seeks to tackle poor legal advice and service by ensuring genuine accident victims receive the compensation they are entitled to.

Director Alistair McKinlay said: “This is a really exciting time for Emsleys as we reach out for new opportunities as well as enhancing our current offering in order to strengthen our reputation as an award-winning local firm.”
