Emsleys Solicitors Bolsters Key Departments with Strategic Senior Appointments

Emsleys Solicitors is pleased to announce the appointment of two senior legal professionals, Naomi Hartridge and Matthew Murphy, strengthening the firm’s expertise in Family Law and Wills & Probate.

Strengthening Family Law Advocacy

Naomi Hartridge joins Emsleys’ Family team as an employed barrister while she completes her transfer to return to the roll of solicitors. With over 15 years of experience, Naomi qualified as a solicitor in 1999, specialising in white-collar crime in London’s Harley Street, before transferring to the Bar in 2017.

During her time at Spire Barristers and Parklane Plowden Chambers, Naomi developed a formidable reputation in private law. Her expertise encompasses complex matters including parental alienation, international relocation, and financial remedy. Known for her intuitive approach and collaborative style, Naomi brings a high level of strategic advocacy to the firm’s family department.

Enhancing Wills & Probate Innovation

Matthew Murphy joins the firm bringing over 30 years of legal experience to the Wills & Probate team. Having held management roles at Leeds DPPR and LCF Law, Matthew later became a Probate Specialist at Irwin Mitchell, where he spearheaded major case management redesigns and “paper-lite” initiatives.

A former STEP Associate and a co-founder of London-based Laurus Law, Matthew’s most recent work at Elmhirst Parker focused on multi-generational client care and high-profile corporate research cases. His appointment reflects Emsleys’ commitment to technical excellence and the continued mentorship of junior legal talent.

A Commitment to Excellence

The dual appointments signal a period of continued growth for Emsleys, as the firm continues to attract top-tier talent to serve its diverse client base across West Yorkshire and beyond.

“We are delighted to welcome Naomi and Matthew to the firm,” said Managing Director, Judith Hogg for Emsleys Solicitors. “Their combined expertise – ranging from high-level advocacy in family disputes to innovation in probate management – significantly enhances the specialist service we provide to our clients.”
