DLA Piper has promoted two lawyers in Yorkshire to partner, as part of a promotion round that has seen 67 individuals join the firm’s partnership.
Corporate lawyer Amar Maan in Leeds and litigation and regulatory specialist Mick Lawlor in Sheffield have joined the ranks of DLA Piper’s partnership.
Maan is experienced in advising corporates, sponsors, investors, senior management teams and entrepreneurs on complex and cross-border mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and private equity.
He has particular experience and expertise in financial services, infrastructure, energy, renewables and technology M&A, and also advises on controlling and non-controlling investments, and demergers, group reorganisations and joint ventures.
Lawlor deals in all aspects of commercial litigation, arbitration and dispute resolution on behalf of IT and telecommunications companies, manufacturers, engineering firms, retailers and financial institutions.
Their promotions come as 67 lawyers globally become partners at DLA Piper.
Across the firm’s practices globally, corporate saw the largest intake of new partners with 19 promotions, followed by litigation and regulatory with 15.
