Crombie Wilkinson appoints new directors

Crombie Wilkinson Solicitors has announced the appointment of two new directors.

Belinda-Jane Poulter and Ian Barnard were appointed from 1 November, taking the number of directors in the firm to 12.

The promotions come after they both successfully completed a leadership and development course earlier this year which sees prospective leadership candidates trained and mentored to develop their careers within the firm.

Poulter began her career in the firm as a secretary in November 2002, progressing to senior associate solicitor over the past 14 years. After initially working in the Family Team at Malton she now works full-time in the private client team at York.

After qualifying in September 2001, Barnard spent 13 years with a firm in East Anglia specialising in all commercial and property matters including agricultural work. After joining Crombie Wilkinson in January 2014, he became the head of the company commercial team in May 2016. Under his guidance the team has grown in number as well as offering niche areas of law for business, ensuring they deliver the legal services business owners require in this region.

Crombie Wilkinson recently rebranded to reflect its ambitious, proactive and modern approach and

managing director Duncan Morter, said that the new directors would bring fresh skills, ideas, insight, knowledge and drive to its management team.

“We are a dynamic firm, listening to what our clients want and ensuring we have the experience and right people in place to deliver,” said Morter.

“We are very pleased to welcome Belinda and Ian as directors, a promotion they both deserve due to their hard work and commitment to delivering the best results for their clients and the firm. We have ambitious plans for the coming year which we are very excited about and having the right people in the right roles is key to this growth.”
