Crombie Wilkinson, one of North Yorkshire’s leading law firms, has been awarded the prestigious Investors in People (IIP) Gold Accreditation, recognising its outstanding commitment to employee development, engagement and wellbeing.
Following a rigorous independent assessment, IIP commended the firm’s strong leadership, values-driven culture and sustained investment in people. Only 31% of IIP-accredited organisations achieve Gold, and just 3% of those sit within the legal sector—placing Crombie Wilkinson among the UK’s top employers.
The accreditation highlights the firm’s focus on transparency, inclusivity and continuous improvement. Initiatives such as the Crombie Wilkinson Management & Leadership Charter, its active staff networks and a clear approach to career progression were identified as particular strengths.
Managing Director Duncan Morter said: “We are thrilled to receive IIP Gold. This reflects the hard work and dedication of our team and our belief that investing in people is central to our success. We’ll continue to build a workplace where everyone can thrive.”
Key feedback from the IIP assessment included; improved sharing of strategic information, valued especially by colleagues joining from other firms, consistent use of the Management & Leadership Charter to guide and assess leadership, strong integration of firm values into people management practices and clear, well-regarded career progression pathways, to name a few.
Crombie Wilkinson provides high-quality legal services to individuals and businesses across Yorkshire and beyond. The firm is known for its supportive and inclusive culture and is committed to developing its people at every level.
