Clarion lawyer wins national award

Lynsey Harrison, the head of Clarion’s disputed wills and trusts team, has been named as the Contentious Solicitor of the Year for 2015 by the Association of Contentious Trust and Probate Solicitors (ACTAPS).

Harrison, who was the only North of England representative to be shortlisted for the accolade, joined Clarion in 2001, and since 2004 has specialised in contentious probate, disputed trusts nationally and internationally, and matters concerning Court of Protection.

“I feel honoured to be recognised in this way,” said Harrison.  “To have been chosen from all of the contentious lawyers in the whole of the UK for this top national award is fantastic, particularly as the shortlist is chosen by leading experts in this specialist area of law.”

The ACTAPS provides a nationwide recognised forum for specialists to share experiences, know-how and an appreciation of the law and statutes in this niche area and also promotes expertise with the provision of education and training.
