Clarion launches series of business resilience seminars

Clarion is bringing together a line-up of experts to share their experience and knowledge at a series of seminars focusing on business resilience.

Hosted by Clarion at its Leeds office, the three-part seminar series will discuss core themes aimed at protecting businesses and enhancing agility and growth strategies.

The first half-day seminar, which takes place on 26 April from 8.45am to 1pm, will cover the topics of strategy and innovation, and finance.

A Clarion team comprising senior partner Richard Moran (pictured) and Esther Kirwan, partner and head of intellectual property, along with joint managing partner Ryan Millmore will speak at the seminars.

The Bank of England’s Alex Golledge, agent for Yorkshire and the Humber, along with Cat Smith, senior network manager at British Business Bank, and Stuart Nelson, head of European sourcing at Morrisons, complete the line-up.

The speakers will share insights covering broad macro change dynamics and explore how these affect individual business functions, such as finance, people, strategy, sales and marketing, operations and IT.

Moran explained: “From supply chain issues, labour/skills shortages and rising energy costs to cyber threats, inflation and ESG, the list of challenges businesses are facing goes on as they navigate an ever-changing environment.

“As part of our commitment to supporting businesses, we are hosting this series of seminars with the aim of enhancing resilience and protecting future growth.”

Commenting on the planned content of first seminar, Moran continued: “In the first session, we will focus on ways organisations can strategically take advantage of challenging times to support growth and improve competitiveness as well as exploring the funding landscape. We hope leaders from owner managed businesses through to large corporates, will join us to gain valuable insights from our expert speakers.”

A second seminar will take place on 16 May. It will cover IT and operations, and risk and quality. The final seminar will be held on 06 June, focusing on people and culture, and leadership, purpose and ESG.
