Chadwick Lawrence promotes seven members of staff

Chadwick Lawrence has created two new partners and five new associates in a round of promotions.

Daniel Krigers (Employment Law) and Dan Hirst (Dispute Resolution) have both been promoted to Partner. Joanne Jones and Rebecca Payne (both Family Law), Nils O’Donoghue (Employment Law), Bhavna Patel (Conveyancing) and Peter Harling (Corporate and Debt Recovery) have all been promoted to Associate.

28-year-old Krigers is currently the youngest partner at the firm, having started his career with Chadwick Lawrence in 2005. He is now in charge of the property, corporate and employment Law teams under the umbrella of the commercial department.

“This is the culmination of ten years of hard work for me and meets one of the objectives I set out at the beginning of my career,” said Krigers.

“I would not want to be anywhere else other than Chadwick Lawrence and my development is indicative of the commitment and faith the firm has shown in me.”

Dan Hirst has been promoted to partner in the Leeds office. He was an associate in commercial litigation at Godloves following the merger in 2012 before heading up Chadwick Lawrence’s successful financial mis-selling department.

“This is recognition of the success that we have enjoyed as a firm over the past 18 months or so,” he said. “Since the merger with Godloves I have been able to create a specialisation in banking and financial mis-selling and we have grown our reputation nationally. I think this partnership is reward and recognition for that.”

Jones, based in the Huddersfield office, has been at Chadwick Lawrence for nine years. She advises on all areas of Family Law, although her particular area of expertise is divorce and advising on the financial consequences of relationship breakdowns generally, including where a couple have not been married.

Payne, based the Wakefield Office, has maintained a particular interest in advising on financial settlements arising from divorce. O’Donoghue, also based at the Wakefield office, provides advice on the development of practical health and safety strategies, policies and risk management.

Patel has been at the firm almost three years and is based at the Morley office dealing with all varying aspects of residential property law. The final Wakefield member of staff, Harling, specialises in all aspects of corporate recovery and insolvency, insolvency litigation, debt recovery, and company restoration.

Managing Partner, Neil Wilson, said: “Chadwick Lawrence is about recognising dedication, diligence and teamwork and they all exemplify these principles and fully deserve their success.

“It is down to the hard work and ambition of our staff that we continue to be successful and it is important that we recognise the significant contribution that Daniel, Dan, Joanne, Rebecca, Nils, Bhavna and Peter are making.”
